Aston Villa have well and truly put their mediocre start to the season behind them and, with an impressive run of results, are starring both in England and in Europe.

They come into this match on nine consecutive wins in all competitions, while in the Premier League they have won ten of their last eleven, with the only defeat coming away to Liverpool. They sit third in the table, three points behind leaders Arsenal.

Manchester United are having a season of extreme ups and downs, though they remain in the hunt for a Champions League spot. They play a somewhat chaotic attacking style of football and as a result boast the second best attack in the league, but also the worst defense among the top ten (and the second worst among the top sixteen). They will miss three players due to the Africa Cup of Nations, with Diallo and especially Mbomo significantly weakening their attacking power.

More serious, more reliable and with a higher overall ceiling, Aston Villa are the favorites in this matchup. The 3.60 on the combo of home win and both teams to score is interesting, but in this case we will go more conservatively.
