After 14 matchdays, a three-team title battle is emerging and it may last until the end. Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona are all fighting for the top spot, and we might be heading toward a dramatic season finale.
For now, none of them stand out and none should be satisfied with their defensive performances. I do not see how the matchup between “Barca” and “Atleti” at this stage could produce a tactical, cautious game — simply because neither team is capable of playing that way right now.

What both can do is attack with many players and create chances and goals in the opposing box. Neither defense inspires any confidence at the moment. The visitors’ numbers may look positive — they are a Simeone team after all — but this does not mean there are no serious flaws in their defensive phase. At the same time, a clear sign of Atletico’s stylistic change is that they have scored first, and early, in every league match so far.

It seems highly unlikely that both teams will not score and that the match will stay under. The price on the combination of BTTS and over 2.5 goals is marginal, but the chances of it being confirmed look overwhelming.
