Newcastle were knocked out without much resistance in the League Cup semifinal, as Manchester City proved to be a class above.

That target is now gone, so it remains to be seen how quickly the Magpies will put it behind them.

Brentford, however, are a tricky team and this match comes with its own dangers.

That said, both Newcastle and Brentford are teams capable of delivering a great performance or collapsing completely.

The truth is that I expected lower odds on Newcastle goals. In 8 of the last 10 meetings, regardless of venue, Newcastle have scored at least two goals against Brentford. That is exactly what I am looking for again today.
