Prediction result:Accurate

Partizan, in good form, can seriously trouble a weakened Valencia side for whom the points are far more crucial in the race for the playoffs.

Betting on the Asian Handicap

With five rounds remaining in the EuroLeague regular season, Valencia are in a very strong position to secure a direct playoff spot, and potentially even home-court advantage. On Tuesday, they recorded a crucial 85–84 win over Olympiacos, ending a two-game losing streak. Head coach Aleks Martinez once again distributed minutes evenly, while the unlikely hero was young Spanish international Sergio De Larrea, who calmly knocked down both free throws with two seconds left, despite having played only three minutes prior without taking a single shot.

On the other hand, Partizan are already out of the playoff race, but despite that, they have been playing very solid basketball over the past month. In the first game of this week’s double round, they weren’t at their best but still managed to edge past a resilient ASVEL side, 79–78.

It’s clear which team needs the win more at this stage, but it’s also important to note that the visitors will be without their top scorer Jean Montero, who suffered a hand injury late in the game against Olympiacos. While Valencia are not entirely dependent on individuals, the absence of the talented Dominican guard could be felt in their offensive output.

Partizan are in a good rhythm and look increasingly confident game by game, so I expect them to put up strong resistance and be a competitive opponent against the favored Valencia.
