Betting on Half Time Outcome

These two sides are the surprise packages of the season so far, sitting in 7th and 8th in the Premier League respectively. Just as we were all getting excited about Sunderland being the Champions League spaces, they went and threw that away in that 1-0 loss away at Fulham last week. Having shown they could go toe to toe with Arsenal and beat Chelsea away, that result was a total anomaly against their current form. Still, they remain unbeaten at home in the league and will look to defend that proud record again when the Southerners visit on Saturday.

A big part of this has been Wilson Isidor’s work rate up front, the team play as one and fights up to the last minute, so you can’t write them off. Bournemouth fans have been enjoying themselves at home this season as the team have won 4 and drawn 2 on the South Coast. It’s not been as fun on the road however, they have one win over Spurs to their name and were well beaten 3-1 and 4-0 by Man City and Aston Villa before the International Break. Semenyo is the standout forward for Bournemouth however they have plenty of players with strong attacking intent, including Marcus Tavernier for an anytime goalscorer.

The Cherries have been starting slowly away from home. I’m thinking Sunderland will be aiming to show their fans at a packed Stadium of Light Fulham was a blip. I think those fans will help roar them into an early lead. I like the odds of 2.60 that they will be leading at half time and the odds on this are higher than simply first team to score. That is also a bet I like the look of if you prefer it.
