Tottenham were absolutely dreadful against Nottingham Forest this weekend, playing absolute dross in a deserved 3-0 defeat. They have just one win in their last 6 EPL games, a home win over Brentford. They have also managed an expected 3-0 win over Slavia Prague in the Champions League. They likely needed that to have a chance to advance, as I can’t see them getting points in their games against the German teams in their last 2 fixtures. There is something wrong at the moment with Spurs, whether it’s injuries or Frank’s tactics not translating to the players, I’m not sure. Having the defending champions Liverpool as visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is not the best of fixtures to be making this any better. Liverpool seem to have arrested their recent slump in results and are now looking back up the table. Wins away in Milan and home against Brighton, where Salah made a kind of public apology when coming off the bench to set up the second goal, has seen the Scousers in a much happier mood. Hugo Ekitike looks like a good replacement for Salah up front for the reds, as Mo is jetting off to the upcoming Afcon tournament. The Reds have tonnes of attacking quality and will run through a Spurs defence if they are as poor as they were against Forest on Sunday. Spurs’ home form has been consistently bad for nearly 2 seasons now, and I can’t see that changing over 90 minutes. With Liverpool priced at over 2.00 with most bookmakers, shop around and find the highest odds on a Liverpool win and lump on.
