Turkey take on Bulgaria with just one point required to claim the playoff place in Group E. Spain are well ahead and look to have top spot in the bag, although a large Turkish win could take things to a final game shootout depending on other results. Bulgaria are already out after a depressing campaign as hopes of a return to US World Cup where they made the semi-finals back in 1994, have disappeared. Turkey hammered Bulgaria 6-1 last time these two sides met. In fact they have been scoring goals for fun all through this qualifying campaign but failed to keep many clean sheets. Turkish star striker Kerem Aktürkoǧlu will be leading the line and is a great pick for a first or anytime goalscorer. Other than that goals have been spread around for Turkey so there’s a few you could have a look at. I’ll be surprised if Bulgaria manage a goal in this game it’s another area they have really struggled in.

I can’t look past Turkey winning this one, and with some ease as well. One thing to keep in your mind is that they need to increase their goal difference if they are going to take the top spot race to that final game in Spain. They have been focusing on this in the last few games with out and out attacking displays and should continue this trend against a Bulgaria side that will need to attack. Add a -2 handicap to get the best available odds on a Turkish win.
