With a superior goal difference, Canada would finish top of the group in the event of a draw, while Switzerland would have to settle for second place.

Switzerland responded well after their disappointing opening performance and did what was required to secure qualification. I expect them to make several changes for this match. Their place in the knockout rounds is already secured, making this a good opportunity to rest key players and give valuable minutes to squad members who are part of the rotation but not considered first-choice options.

On the other hand, I do not expect many changes from Canada. The hosts have an additional source of motivation, as finishing first would allow them to remain in Canada for the next stage of the tournament.

I certainly do not expect a dull encounter. Canada have not convinced me that they are capable of approaching matches in a purely pragmatic manner, while Switzerland can afford to play with greater freedom and without excessive pressure.
