Wolves now have the the ignominy of being bottom of the EPL at Christmas, a position that few teams come back from to survive.They have just two points so far this term They surely can’t turn things around and stay up from here and they are in real danger of recording the worst points total in Premier League history.  They should have got a point against Arsenal on Saturday, but they managed to lose despite equalising in the 90th minute! This shows just how low confidence must be in the squad. They aren’t exactly getting turned over and thrashed; they just can’t seem to catch a break. They are on a run of 9 straight defeats. This kind of relentless punishment weekly, will lead to the team losing all belief in ever getting a result. Some hope comes here as Brentford’s visit is realistically their best chance for a while to get a win. The bees away from has been awful, even managing to lose away at Spurs. They have won 1 and lost 7 of 8 away Premier League trips. A truly terrible statistic as well and they will likely be thinking if we can’t win away at Wolves, are we ever going to? They are 14th in the league solely on the back of their top 6 home form with 5 wins from 7. I’m struggling to pick a winner here in all honesty. I’m half tempted to plump for a draw. I also have a sneaking thought that Wolves might just have enough of a mixture of desperation and devil-may-care attitude to win this one. The first goal is going to be important, but I can’t see either side managing to keep a clean sheet -both defences look too nervy- Wolves all the time and Brentford on the road. So I’m going for the Both teams to score market with a YES in this matchup.
