The long unbeaten streak of Crystal Palace, which dated back to last April (when they lost 5-0 to Newcastle), came to an end away to Everton. This season is expected to be quite challenging for them. They remain a solid and well-organized team, capable of competing even with the league’s top sides, but their relatively shallow squad depth and additional European commitments are likely to make things difficult.

Bournemouth shares several similarities with Palace. One of them is that their playing style tends to be more effective in away games — high intensity, pressing up front, and quick transitions. It’s worth noting that since last season, Bournemouth has scored 15 away goals after the 75th minute. They have also netted 2+ goals in 14 of their last 19 away matches, including games against Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

These are two of the Premier League’s most successful football projects. At the moment, I believe Bournemouth can more easily reach their competitive ceiling. They are priced as underdogs, they play away (which suits them), and I think there is clear value in backing them.
