Korea K League: Suwon vs Seoul 05/10/2025

Betting on Corners Market
I’m going with a slightly atypical bet here, since it’s the South Korean league that I only keep an eye on from time to time. Suwon and Seoul face each other in a match where the first thing that caught my attention is the under 4 corners in the first half. In general, the K League doesn’t see many early set-pieces — the average is around 3 corners in the opening 45 minutes, which is well below European standards.
Seoul stand out in particular because they are one of the teams that allow the fewest corners. They concede only about 3 per game on average, and even fewer away from home — just around 2.8. Their style is very defensive and controlled, which makes it hard for opponents to build up waves of pressure and win corners.
On the other hand, Suwon are not the type of team that starts aggressively and pushes in waves, so it’s unlikely we’ll see a “flurry” of corners in the first half.
That’s why this line of 4 looks a bit too high. The stats and playing styles of both sides point clearly toward the under. Of course, there’s always the risk of a couple of early dangerous attacks producing quick corners, but under normal match flow this is a bet that makes sense.
The catch with this wager is that exactly 4 corners at halftime won’t bring a win but only a refund. Still, at these slightly higher odds I think it’s more valuable than taking under 4.5, at least from a long-term perspective.
