Premier League: Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea 18/10/2025

Betting on Winner
Chelsea won a tense encounter between these two in the final game of last season by the only goal, with Champions League qualification on the line. A lot has changed however, at Forest since then with the City Ground not being the fortress it was last year under Santos. The well liked manager departed under a cloud in the summer after a fallout with the chairman. With some players leaving and there being a fair bit of despondency around the club the incoming manager, another former Spurs man, Ange Postecoglou has had a lot to deal with trying to recreate the heights of last season’s 7th place. They have won just once in all competitions and that includes a home defeat to Midtjylland which was met with boos across the ground. They also lost at home to Sunderland and West Ham without scoring. New signing Igor Jesus has yet to score in the Premier League but is my pick for a Forest anytime scorer, while last season’s main man was Chris Wood and is always worth a look for first goalscorer. Chelsea on the other hand look in fine form. The current World Club Champions have beaten both AC Milan and Leverkusen in Champions League fixtures at home. They have 4 wins from 7 in the Premier League, including an excellent 2-1 win over Liverpool. Jao Pedro or Delap are my picks for a goalscorer with them, though with so much quality in the squad you could pretty much pick anyone from their starting 11 apart from the keeper.
My pick here is a Chelsea win to heap more misery on big Ange and I think the odds at just under 2.00 with 1xBet make this well worth a wager.
