Conference League Qual.: AEK – Hapoel Beer Sheva 24/07/25
Betting on goals
AEK’s first official match of the season comes at a time when the atmosphere within the club is far from ideal. Their transfer activity hasn’t impressed so far, and the bitter aftertaste from last season’s disappointing finish still lingers.
Nikolic is implementing a radical shift in the team’s playing style, and it’s clear the squad will need time to adapt. In preseason friendlies, AEK showed defensive solidity but also struggled to create chances going forward.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva was eliminated on penalties by Levski Sofia and dropped into the Conference League. Both legs ended 0–0, with very few chances created. The Israeli side is tough and well-organized, but lacks attacking quality.
AEK is the better team and rightfully the favorite, but they’re not yet match-fit and lack strong options up front. Hapoel is expected to play cautiously and focus on the second leg. The under looks like a solid option here.
