Premier League: Newcastle vs Arsenal 28/09/2025

Betting on Winner
The derby of Round 6 of the Premier League will be played at St. James’ Park between hosts Newcastle and visiting Arsenal.
Newcastle entered the season somewhat slowly, with a series of controversial departures, injuries, and suspensions. So far, they have collected only 6 points with a modest tally of 3 goals scored. That said, they look very stable defensively and rarely concede. In the second round against Liverpool, Nick Pope had to pick the ball out of his net three times, but in the other four matches, he managed to keep a clean sheet. Last weekend, away at Bournemouth, they played a dull match with few chances, ending 0-0. The best illustration of that is the fact they created only 0.14 expected goals.
Arsenal and Mikel Arteta once again face huge pressure to win trophies this season. The Spanish coach was given a serious transfer budget and reinforced all areas of the squad, so there are no more excuses for failure. They started the season with a series of injuries, but the squad depth allows those losses to be covered. Last weekend, they scraped out a draw against Manchester City despite having the better of the play. Their defense still looks like one of the most solid in Europe, but the attack is expected to become more fluid and efficient.
Clashes between these two teams in recent seasons have often been marked by great intensity and fierce duels, with somewhat less attractive football. This time it could be similar. Both sides handle such situations well, but the edge still goes to Arsenal’s quality and individual talent. Small details will likely decide the winner, and it wouldn’t be surprising if once again a single moment—like a set-piece routine from a corner—proves decisive and delivers all three points to the London club.
