After a tense nil-nil draw in the 1st Leg, Welsh champions The New Saints will be travelling to North Macedonia hoping to find a way past Shkëndija, the Macedonian champions, who will be much happier with the first leg result. The New Saints dominated the first leg but could not put the ball into the net in a frustrating 90 minutes. New signing Ben Wilson had an effort cleared off the line, and the striker is the pick of the two forward lines if you’re looking for a first goalscorer. Having said that, Besart Ibraimi is the main forward for the Macedonians and should be their best hope for a goal. These 2 met before in 2018 with TNS winning 4-0 at home but losing 5-0 away. This shows the normal routine with the Welsh team struggling away while the Macedonian outfit is usually strong at home. In all honesty, it looks like TNS has lost their best chance to go through by not having a first-leg lead. I’m expecting a tight first half but a livelier second as both sides will need to push for a winner. I’m going for Welsh heartbreak and a win in the 2nd half for Shkëndija. For this, I’m looking at the draw at half time and Shkendija to be winning at full time market. I fancy the home crowd’s support to help get Shkendija through in the 2nd half.
