No deposit bonuses

The No Deposit Bonus is an excellent way to test your betting skills without risking any of your own money. In most cases, just registering to a bookmaker’s site and, of course, verifying your identity is enough to get you entitled to this bonus. To receive it you don’t need to replenish your account – the No Deposit Bonus is credited to your account and you can immediately – of course after meeting the conditions specified – use it to place a bet.

It sounds like a ‘win-win’ situation, because if the bet wins then you are credited with the winnings without having invested your own money and if the bet is lost, then you don’t lose any of your own money. But there are some particular terms and restrictions, which mostly apply to withdrawals. That is, you can withdraw funds after first having wagered the bonus amount a certain number of times. Some bookmakers also ask the customer to make a real deposit, before withdrawing bonus funds.

‘Wagering’ is a very common word in betting. In most cases, a bonus must be wagered more than once and some bookmakers even ask customers to wager it even five times, which can in fact be very difficult especially for beginners and inexperienced players. In other cases, bookmakers transfer the money to a bonus account through which the players’ actions are largely limited.

Other restrictions may also apply for a No Deposit Bonus. For example, bookmakers might require that the bonus funds are placed on bets in specific sports or specific matches or even placed on bets with coefficients higher than an indicated number (for instance above 1.70). In some cases the restrictions are very precise – for example, the No Deposit Bonus can be placed only on a parlay (a bet with several events that wins only when all of them win) and at the same time each of the events in the bet should have at least the minimum allowed odds.

No Deposit Bonuses are also used for inactive customers. It is not uncommon for players to register in a website, neglect to replenish the account right away or face some difficulties in doing so and in the end leave the site without returning to start betting. To retain such customers, bookmakers often use this type of bonus.

There are some exceptional cases, where No Deposit Bonuses are offered without any requirements for wagering. You just need to place a bet using the bonus and then if the bet wins, you are only credited with the winnings (not the bet amount). A 1000 euros bonus bet on an event with a coefficient of 1.83, for example, will bring in case of a win, a return of 830 euros to your account (not 1830) which is the total winnings minus the bet amount.
