Conference League: Aris Limassol vs AEK 07/08/2025
Betting on Goals
Russian-owned Aris Limassol has stepped up in recent years and is clearly the second-best team in Cyprus, behind Russian-backed Pafos. Cypriot clubs are always highly motivated when facing Greek sides and are especially dangerous in summer qualifiers.
AEK has the quality advantage but still needs work. With a new coach and a new system, they managed to eliminate Hapoel Beer Sheva with a disciplined and conservative approach, keeping a clean sheet.
Nobody will take big risks here. The hosts are the underdog and know their opponent struggles in attack, so they will not leave space. AEK, with the return leg at home, still lacking full match fitness and without a top-tier striker, will rely on its defense. The weather — hot and humid — also won’t help in producing an open game. A low-scoring scenario is very realistic and offers good value.
