EuroLeague: ASVEL vs Panathinaikos 30/01/2026

Handicap Betting
ASVEL and Panathinaikos will bring the curtain down on Round 25 of the EuroLeague with their second head-to-head meeting of the season.
As expected before the start of the campaign, the French side are among the weakest teams in the league. They currently share bottom spot in the standings with Anadolu Efes, and it is becoming increasingly clear that this may be their final season in Europe’s elite competition. The mid-season departure of their best player, Nando De Colo, clearly signaled the direction the club is heading in and highlighted their realistic ambitions. Under these circumstances, the question remains how many more wins ASVEL can manage before the end of the competition.
On the other hand, Panathinaikos are having a rather poor season by the high standards they have set in recent years. The former EuroLeague champions currently sit only 9th in the standings, while the atmosphere within the team is far from ideal. Head coach Ergin Ataman has increasingly criticized his players publicly, who have struggled to cope with the absence of Kendrick Nunn, the team’s best performer, who has missed the previous three games due to injury.
Panathinaikos effectively have no margin for error in this matchup. Despite the absence of their top player, the quality is clearly on their side, and it is difficult to believe they will allow themselves another disappointing result. I expect the most experienced players — Sloukas, Osman and Hernangómez — to step up, take responsibility, and lead the Greens to a routine victory against the weakest team in the competition.
