Champions League: Atl. Madrid – Eintracht Frankfurt 30/09/2025

Betting on goals
Simeone has significantly changed Atletico’s playing style, making it more attack-minded. This season, perhaps more than any other, we’re seeing a team that looks to impose itself through quality. We saw it in Saturday’s 5-2 triumph over Real Madrid, as well as in the narrow 3-2 defeat at Anfield against Liverpool.
For many, Eintracht are currently the third-best team in Germany (after Bayern and Dortmund) and definitely a side that provides plenty of entertainment on the pitch. In the seven official matches they’ve played so far this season, all seven finished over 3.5 goals, while the last three alone produced a total of 23 goals. Ten of those came last Saturday, when they beat Gladbach 6-4 away (after leading 6-0).
Atletico now play attacking football, and they’ll be facing a team that frequently gets involved in high-scoring shootouts. Eintracht score with ease and have kept a clean sheet in only one of their eight official games this season.
The 2.60+ odds you get if you combine Atletico’s win with both teams to score look tempting. However, I’ll go with the more conservative option of BTTS + Over 2.5. On one hand, because Eintracht’s quality ceiling this year is very high, and on the other, because I fear some overconfidence in the home camp after Saturday’s big triumph against bitter rivals Real Madrid.
