Besiktas entered this season with big ambitions, both in the EuroCup and in the domestic league, where they aim to repeat last year’s success and reach the finals again. Interestingly, it was Dusan Alimpijevic who coached Bursa during their most successful period a few years ago, though that collaboration ended on a sour note. That gives this matchup an emotional undertone, as Besiktas’ coach will surely want to prove himself against his former club. Still, even without the extra motivation, Besiktas is clearly the more talented and higher-quality team. If they repeat their recent performances and maintain their offensive rhythm, a comfortable home win by double digits is the most likely outcome.
