Serie A Brazil: Cruzeiro vs Ceara 27/07/2025

Cruzeiro -1 Coach Jardim knows how to build disciplined, well-organized teams capable of outperforming expectations — and it looks like he’s doing just that at Cruzeiro. Under his guidance, the new ownership (which last year spent with little to show for it) is now seeing real results.
Just before the halfway point of the season, Cruzeiro leads the league, one point ahead of Flamengo (who has a game in hand). Since the one-month break, they’ve returned even stronger: three straight wins with a 10–1 goal difference, plus a midweek 0–0 draw at Corinthians — a match they deserved to win.
Newly promoted Ceara is also doing well overall, currently 12th and four points above the relegation zone. However, their recent form is worrying — three straight losses without scoring.
Traditionally strong at home, Ceara struggles away, and Cruzeiro’s home record this season is 7-1-0. Given Ceara’s current struggles (even creating chances), it’s hard to see them avoiding another defeat here.
