Premier League: Brighton vs Newcastle 18/10/2025

Betting on Goals
Brighton and Newcastle face off on Saturday, sitting 12th and 11th in the League, respectively after both not having had the starts to the season they would have wanted. Brighton have been in strange form with wins over Chelsea and Man City, but losing to some of the teams they beat with ease last season Everton and Bournemouth. They do come into this unbeaten at home however with 5 points from 9. Midfielder Diego Gómez has been scoring for fun in the EFL Cup with 5 goals in 2 games, against admittedly weaker opposition and he has yet to score in the Premier League this season. Evergreen Danny Welbeck is the top League scorer with 2 goals, and talking of veterans their penalty taker, and former Newcastle man James Milner is always worth a look as an anytime scorer. Newcastle have not been in great shape themselves with 2 wins, 2 losses and 3 draws so far this term. They have a win and a loss in the Champions League and are still in the EFL Cup. My pick for a goalscorer is the in-form Anthony Gordon, who scored his 2nd England goal on Tuesday, which secured England’s World Cup Qualification.
My main prediction here is for both teams to score. Yes, this has happened in 6 of 7 Brighton games. It has not happened that often in Newcastle matches but despite this I am struggling to find worthwhile odds on this online. Instead, I am looking at a cheeky bet on above 2.5 goals for this one at 1.83 with 22Bet. Both sides have plenty of goals in them and Brighton are strong in attack while being a bit suspect at the back.
