Premier League: Chelsea vs Brighton 27/09/2025

Betting on Goals
I was as surprised as everyone to see Chelsea lose away at Man United at the weekend. Although truth be told, having your goalkeeper sent off after 5 minutes is generally not the best formula for winning away from home! Even so they put up a good fight with 10 men and have looked in solid form so far despite a Champions League loss to Munich. Brighton had a topsy-turvy game against my team, Spurs on Saturday, squandering a 2-goal lead but in the end showing enough to hold on for a draw under heavy pressure. Goals have been shared around the Brighton team, with Milner and Mitoma both top scoring with 1, but both are also usually a good anytime scorer bet. Of course on the other side how they would love to still have João Pedro on their team sheet. He has hit 4 for Chelsea already this term and I always like the look of players to score against their old clubs. Generally, Chelsea have so much talent and depth in the squad that even missing the exceptional Cole Palmer for this game shouldn’t hinder their ability to score goals. I like the both teams to score market in this game but odds on this are not really worth the punt. The bookmakers are favouring goals as well and it looks like you need to go right up to the over 3.5 goal market to find some higher odds that might make it worth a gamble. 4 goals from these 2 teams with the attacking way they both play seems like a fair shout and I’m expecting a lively match up on Saturday afternoon between these two.
