From the very first matchday and the 20 point win against hosts Latvia, Turkey showed that besides individual quality, it also has a real team. Four more convincing wins followed, the last one against highly skilled Serbia.
The first place in the group gave them a very favorable path up to the semifinals. To get there they must first eliminate Sweden and then face the winner of Poland – Bosnia. Essentially, to reach the final they will play one tough match, the semifinal against whoever survives from Greece, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania. In my view they have shown superiority compared to all four of these opponents, and odds around doubling for them to reach the final hide significant value.
