Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt vs Leverkusen 31/01/2026

Betting on Handicap
The season has not been going well for Eintracht. It started with promise, followed by a run of mediocre results, mainly due to a problematic defensive structure. Then came a coaching change, a tactical reshuffle, general confusion, and another coaching dismissal.
With the interim duo Schmidt / Maier in charge, things did not improve, and reports suggest that Riera is ready to take over. In any case, the team has just one win (1-0 at home against Augsburg) in their last twelve matches across all competitions. They are on a three-game losing streak under the interim coaches and have conceded three goals in five of their last six games.
Leverkusen are also experiencing a turbulent season, which is understandable after the departure of the highly successful Xabi Alonso. Another coaching change was needed for them to find their way, but with Kasper Hjulmand on the bench, the team has clearly stepped up a level.
The year 2026 did not start well, but the two recent wins against Werder Bremen in the league and Villarreal in the Champions League have restored confidence within the squad.
Eintracht are in poor form, dealing with serious absences and waiting for a new coach. Leverkusen look superior at this stage of the season, having won two consecutive matches without conceding and showing the profile of a team you can trust in the final result market. The away win, offered at odds around 2.20, makes sense to include in our betting plan.
