La Liga: Girona vs Rayo Vallecano 15/08/2025
Betting on DNB (Draw No Bet)
After a sensational 2023/24 season, Girona finished last year in 16th place, barely avoiding relegation to the second tier. This is an opportunity to establish a more stable foundation and reassert themselves as a serious contender in the competition. This summer, coach Michel’s team has strengthened with four new signings: Hugo Rincon, Axel Witsel, Vitor Reis, and Thomas Lemar.
On the other hand, the tough Rayo Vallecano arrive, who, with an excellent finish last season, secured 8th place and a spot in the Conference League qualifiers. This will be only their second appearance in European competition, and failing to reach the group stage would be a significant setback.
Visitors Have a Chance for a Good Result
Girona will be without Miguel Gutierrez due to an ankle injury. As his transfer to Napoli is expected, it’s unlikely he will play even if he recovers. Ricard Artero, Ivan Martin, Donny van de Beek, and Abel Ruiz are also unavailable. Rincon, Witsel, and Reis are expected to make their debuts in defense, while Lemar, on loan from Atletico, should start in attack. These absences could seriously weaken the hosts.
Rayo Vallecano is a competitively solid team, and the odds for their victory look attractive—especially with the DNB (Draw No Bet) safety option.
