Sweden Allsvenskan: Halmstad – Hachen 20/07/2025
Betting with asian handicap
Halmstad’s main goal is to stay in the top division, and so far, they’re doing relatively well. They sit 11th in the standings, three points above the relegation playoff zone. At home, they’ve won four out of eight matches, including back-to-back victories against strong opponents: 1–0 over Djurgarden and 2–0 over AIK.
Last matchday, they lost 4–1 away to Hacken in a game where their performance was actually better than the final score suggests.
Hacken has already won the domestic cup and is having a trouble-free league campaign. They’re mid-table, and with a European spot already secured, they don’t have any real targets left to chase in the league.
On Thursday, they equalized in the 96th minute against Spartak Trnava (Slovakia) to draw 2–2 and advance to the second qualifying round of the Europa League with a 3–2 aggregate score. They’ll face Anderlecht in Brussels next Thursday.
Halmstad is strong at home and fighting to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle. Hacken may have a higher ceiling, but they’re currently focused on their European matches, which are clearly the top priority. Given these circumstances, it’s hard to see them as clear favorites in this matchup.
