A second leg without the away goals rule and featuring two offensively limited teams points toward a tight, low-scoring contest, which is why the safer Under 2.5 option was selected.

Copa Libertadores qualifiers, second leg after Carabobo’s 1–0 win last week in Venezuela. The away goals rule does not apply, and if Huachipato win by one goal, the match goes straight to penalties (no extra time).

The first game featured very little actual football and few clear chances. As mentioned earlier, these are clearly not attacking powerhouses, especially Carabobo, who are on a run of nine consecutive Under 2.5 matches in all competitions. Huachipato, on the other hand, are under pressure. They were poor in the first leg, have sold their in-form attacking midfielder Gutiérrez, and now seek a comeback. They do score in Chile, but usually in a more open style. Here, they know only a win matters.

I took Under 2.5. I considered Under 2.25 at a maximum price of 1.82, but given the possibility of a two-goal game, I opted for the safer 2.5 line.
