Greece Cup: Kavala vs Panathinaikos 17/12/2025

Betting on Handicap
Kavala appear significantly improved after the coaching change. With Giannis Tatsis on the bench, they have recorded three consecutive league wins and have climbed to fifth place in the standings. They have no realistic chances to progress in the Cup and their only motivation comes from the name of their opponent.
Panathinaikos have a perfect 3/3 record in the Cup and with a win secure a top four finish and direct qualification to the quarterfinals, where they will play a single home knockout match.
The win matters and they are expected to get it. However, winning by five goals to cover the four goal handicap does not seem very likely.
Firstly because the team is not in great condition and the key players need rest, with a derby at Toumba coming up. Secondly because a five goal victory would place Panathinaikos second in the Cup standings, potentially leading to a quarterfinal clash with PAOK. A win by three goals places them third and sets up a matchup with OFI.
