Premier League: Leeds vs Everton 18/08/2025
Leeds have the enthusiasm of a newly promoted side, but the quality gap between the Championship and the Premier League is not easy to bridge. Among the three teams promoted this year, they seem to have the best chances of survival. Even though they searched for a new manager, they eventually kept Daniel Farke, despite his unconvincing record in the top flight. They are looking for signings in the market, with priority given to a starting centre forward.
David Moyes’ return transformed last season’s Everton. He took over when they were just one point above the relegation line and, producing form worthy of a top-eight team, finished 13th — their best position in the last five years. It is certain that with him on the bench, they are capable of exceeding expectations.
Strengthened in the transfer market, with a new stadium and the emblematic Moyes at the helm, Everton look capable of fighting for a place in the top half of the table. Against a manageable opponent who will need time to adapt, they are in a position to start the season with a win.
