Newcastle has had a turbulent start to the season and the first three matches in the Premier League. So far, they have collected only two points, which is enough for 17th place, just above the danger zone. The Isak situation affected the whole team, and that saga finally ended with his transfer to Liverpool. In the final stretch of the transfer window, they somewhat desperately managed to bring in two strikers. Yoane Wissa, after months of negotiations, was signed from Brentford for €57 million, and they even spent €85 million on Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemode. We’ll see if either of them gets a chance in the starting lineup on Saturday, but what is certain is that right winger Anthony Gordon will not be in the starting eleven, as he is serving a suspension due to a red card against Liverpool.

On the other hand, it seems that Wolves will not have a much more successful season than the previous one. They have suffered three defeats at the start, with a goal difference of 2:8. The last of those losses came at home against Everton with a score of 3:2. Defense remains a major problem for the team this season as well, and so far, there are no signs that things will improve in the coming period.

Both teams are in a results crisis, but it is clear that Newcastle has a deeper and higher-quality roster and could much more easily overcome this period.
