Premier League: Nottingham vs Brentford 17/08/2025
Betting on Goals
Last season, Nottingham Forest once again established themselves as an important factor in English football. The two-time European champions finished in seventh place in the table, securing a spot in the Europa League, and were even in the race for the Champions League until the final round.
Brentford also had a solid campaign, ending up comfortably mid-table in 10th place. As expected, many clubs showed interest in their best players, which eventually led to the departures of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, as well as manager Thomas Frank, who moved to Spurs.
I expect another good season from Nottingham Forest. Perhaps not as strong as the previous one, but still within the upper half of the table. During the pre-season, their attack showed quite a few problems, but defensively they looked solid—just like for most of last season. I believe that at the start of the new campaign they will once again rely on their defense to make the difference against opponents, and that the City Ground will remain a tough place where visitors will have to work hard to beat goalkeeper Sels.
