Greece Super League: Panaitolikos vs Panathinaikos 28/09/2025

Panaitolikos lost most of their key players from last season’s core and seem to be a level below in quality (although this still needs to be proven on the pitch). They struggle to go toe-to-toe even with teams at their level (e.g. Volos), but they remain a serious and solidly coached side.
In their two matches against strong opponents, they played very deep and absorbed the pressure. They beat Aris 2-0 away and drew 0-0 at PAOK. The same approach is expected at home against Panathinaikos.
The Greens earned a huge away win 4-1 against Young Boys. That result gives them a big psychological boost and confidence they badly needed, but their problems have not been solved by that single win.
In Agrinio they won’t face such a naïve opponent, nor will they find open spaces to create easily. They can still win with their quality, but the -1.25 line looks too big given the context of this match.
