Greece Superleague: Panathinaikos vs Asteras 26/10/2025

Panathinaikos vs Asteras 2-0
Betting on Asian Handicap
Another coaching change at Panathinaikos, with Benitez meeting the players on Friday and debuting on the bench Sunday. The team played a tough away game on Thursday, and the nature of their defeat to Feyenoord raised concerns.
Coach Kontis had made limited rotations, and with a Thursday-Sunday schedule, many starters will be fatigued — especially given the team’s known fitness problems.
Asteras Tripolis has started poorly, sitting last with a 0-3-4 record, but has the quality to climb. In Coleman’s debut, they drew 2-2 with Kifisia at home in a match where they were not better than their opponent. Against the league’s “big four,” they have been competitive — losing narrowly to Olympiacos and AEK and drawing with PAOK.
With a new coach, tired starters, and no league wins by more than one goal, it’s hard to see Panathinaikos covering the handicap. Asteras is fighting hard, scoring in their last seven matches, and remains a tough opponent for top sides.
