Poland vs Netherlands – Prediction and Odds 14/11/2025

Poland vs Netherlands – Who Will Stake Their Claim For Top Spot?
Poland take on the Netherlands with both sides looking to cement their place at the top of Group G. The Group is pretty much a two horse race for that automatic World Cup spot, and this fixture will go a long way into deciding who comes out on top. The sides will play the biggest game of qualification here with the Netherlands a win away from packing their bags for the World Cup, while Poland will look to rubber stamp 2nd place and keep their hopes for top spot alive. Read on to find our Poland vs Netherlands prediction.
Day: Friday, 14 November
 Time: 20:45
 Stadium: Stadion Narodowy, Warsaw
Tournament: World Cup Qualifying Group G – Matchday 9
Poland have had an excellent 2025 so far. They’ve won four of the six matches they have played, all World Cup 2026 Qualification matches. They also managed to earn a valuable point away in the Netherlands, but their defeat away to Finland could prove costly. Defensively they’ve been excellent, conceding only four goals across those six games, scoring ten goals in the process.
The Netherlands are unbeaten to ths point in 2025. They’ve won five and drawn three of their eight games. Surprisingly, for a team that boasts top-class defenders like Virgil Van Dijk and Nathan Ake, they’ve only kept four clean sheets during that run, two of which came in the 8-0 and 4-0 thrashings of Malta. Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem, though, with 27 across those six fixtures.
The top spot is now only available for one of these two sides; the Netherlands can secure it with a win. A draw will take everything down to the last game, however the Netherlands’ large goal difference advantage means that realistically they can’t slip up from that position barring an unheard of swing in goals, including a heavy loss at home to Lithuania. The Netherlands are favourites to get the point they need but Poland have won every game played on home soil this year, so the Netherlands face a big task in breaking that record. A Polish win would add some doubt for the Dutch in that final fixture as if they draw or lose they could miss out if Poland get an expected win away in Malta.
Poland – Looking to use their Home Form to their Advantage
Poland will still have some hopes of top spot and can play this in a bit of comfort with the knowledge that 2nd place is virtually secure just needing one point from their last 2 games to make the playoffs. Poland managed to earn a draw in the previous Group G fixture between these two sides, and a win in this one can keep the chase for 2nd place going to the final group matches.
Their home form has been incredibly impressive in 2025, but their overall record against the Netherlands is far from being so. In fact, we have to go back to 1979 for the last time Poland beat their upcoming opponents, with the Netherlands winning eight and drawing six of 14 meetings since then.
Netherlands – Aiming To Cement Top Spot in Group G
The Netherlands are favourites to win Group G and for good reason. There’s a huge amount of talent making up the Netherlands squad, and there are very few who would bet against them cementing their place at the World Cup 2026.
They’ve enjoyed an unbeaten 2025 so far, and have only lost twice on the road since the beginning of 2024. They know that a win away at Poland would mean a direct route into the tournament, without the need for the Play-offs. Even though they could only manage a 1-1 draw with Poland on home soil, a repeat of this scoreline will almost effectively wrap up the Group.
For our Poland vs Netherlands prediction, we’ve assessed the form of both sides, along with head-to-head records.
Poland vs Netherlands – Possible Line Ups
In terms of line ups, Poland don’t have any new injury concerns or suspensions. The return of Robert Lewandowski, who refused to play under the previous coach Michal Probierz, could be absolutely huge as Poland look to find the win that could lift them to the top of Group G.
While for the Netherlands, Memphis Depay will likely miss out due to a recent hamstring injury. Other than that, there are no new injuries or suspensions for the Netherlands to worry about as they look to strengthen their grip on Group G.

Prediction Poland vs Netherlands
I think this is primed to be one of the most exciting games in World Cup Qualifying so far. There’s a great deal of talent across both squads, with both looking to push their claim for top spot in Group G. With both sides looking to win to hit their campaign aims. I can see a few goals in this one, so my prediction for Poland vs Netherlands is Both Teams To Score.
