You see the Clasico odds with Real slightly below 2.00 and your first reaction is, “What?” What exactly has Real done this season, football-wise and recently against Barca, to deserve being priced below even money (2.00)? Absolutely nothing. In a similarly tough match against Atletico, they conceded five and were lucky it wasn’t more.

“So I’ll back Barca then,” is the next thought. Hmm… yes, theoretically the value is there — until you check the injury report. Juan Garcia, Gavi, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, Lewandowski are all out, and Flick is suspended. The first three were also missing in the 4–0 loss to Sevilla.
