USA MLS: San Diego – Toronto 17/07/2025
Betting on goals
We’re at the midway point of the MLS season (yes, that’s soccer in the U.S.—football means something else entirely over there), and team identities and goals are now clear.
San Diego are fighting to stay on top of the Western Conference, and they’re clearly relying on their attack, which leads both conferences with 46 goals in 22 matches. They’re rightly considered favorites here, especially playing at home against a Toronto side with little left to play for.
What stands out is San Diego’s defensive vulnerability—they’ve conceded in five straight matches. At the same time, Toronto, despite their flaws, have managed to score in seven of their last eight games.
The odds for a simple both teams to score bet are solid here, in a match that could easily open up. It’s also a game where combining BTTS with a home win makes sense.
