Scotland decimated the USA last time out. An 85-0 win was their biggest ever win at Murrayfield, their third biggest overall. While a Scotland win was expected, there were few who imagined such a huge margin of victory.

The All Blacks, though, present a completely different proposition. New Zealand have had the upper hand in previous meetings between the sides, with 30 wins and 2 draws in their 32 previous meetings with Scotland. It’s likely they’ll continue that record in this one, but this is arguably Scotland’s best chance of breaking that hoodoo.

Scotland have had a hit-and-miss 2025 so far. From their nine fixtures in all competitions, they’ve won five, but they’ll certainly be spurred on by their fantastic win in their first Quilter Series fixture.

As for the All Blacks, they began their Quilter Nations Series with a 26-13 win against Ireland. It was a tight game in the first half, but the second half saw New Zealand show their class. A good start, and they’ll be looking for a second consecutive win in this one.

For our Scotland vs New Zealand prediction, we’ve analysed team form, alongside the performances against their first Quilter Nations Series fixtures.

What is the latest team news?

One of the most important factors in developing our Scotland v All Blacks prediction is team news. Find the latest info for both sides below.

Scotland – Likely to field the same side

After their 85-0 hammering of the USA, it’s likely Scotland will field the same 15 against the All Blacks. After scoring hat-tricks, Jamie Dobie and Darcy Graham will continue. After impressing on his debut, we’re also expecting Liam McConnell to continue. With a mix of experience and youth, our Scotland v New Zealand prediction pays attention to the Scot’s excellent team form, as well as some excellent performances from individual players.

New Zealand – No New Injury Concerns

While the first half against Ireland in their first Quilter Nations Series fixture was close, the All Blacks pulled away with some exciting play in the second leading to a comfortable victory in the end. Tamaiti Williams, Ardie Savea, Cam Roigard and Wallace Sititi all scored tries against Ireland, and are expected to continue at Murrayfield.

Prediction for the Quilter Nations Series – Scotland vs New Zealand

This is likely to be a close game. With Scotland’s blistering start to the tournament, they head into this one full of confidence. This certainly could be Scotland’s best chance in recent years to get their first win over the All Blacks, especially in front of a roaring home crowd.

However, New Zealand’s class is undeniable. After a shaky first half against Ireland, they came back to show exactly what they can offer. While there won’t be much in it, our Scotland vs All Blacks prediction is an All Blacks win.
