World Cup Qual: Serbia vs England 09/09/2025

Betting on Final Outcome
In a short span of time, Serbia has gone from being a national team known for attractive, high-scoring football and going toe-to-toe with any opponent, to one that now struggles even against sides of much lower reputation.
That was the case on Saturday as well, when they barely scraped past Latvia with a narrow win. It looked like Vlahovic’s early goal would pave the way for a much easier and more convincing victory, but in reality Serbia were left sweating until the final whistle. At the end of the day, most will agree that the three points are all that really matter.
On the other side, England are also facing a fair share of criticism. Despite opening the qualifiers with four straight wins, fans were unimpressed with their display against Andorra on Saturday and sent their team off the pitch with a chorus of boos.
England sit on a perfect 12 points in the group, but this will be their first real test and a match where they won’t be overwhelming favorites. They are dealing with several injury problems and have not been sparkling, but across from them will be a Serbian side that has looked largely toothless in attack and mostly focused on defending its goal. It’s hard to expect much excitement here, and 0–2 total goals seems like the most reasonable outcome.
