The Irish league takes place during an unusual time of year for the country, but it holds interest—both locally and from a betting perspective.
This season, Shamrock Rovers have taken an early lead in the standings and seem to be threatened only by Derry City, who are in good form and believe in their chances of turning things around.

Derry have won four in a row and recently thrashed Waterford 7–2, showing rare attacking flair for this league.
Hosts Sligo came very close to beating the league leaders Shamrock, but couldn’t hold onto their 2–0 lead and eventually had to settle for a 2–2 draw.

They’re still fighting to avoid relegation and I think there’s a good chance they’ll find a way to score against Derry as well.
Both teams scoring seems quite likely—much more likely than the odds suggest for what’s priced as a full outsider.
