Sweden Allsvenskan: Varnamo – Djurgarden 13/07/2025
Betting on final outcome
Varnamo entered the season supposedly strengthened, with the clear goal of staying in the top division once again. However, it quickly became evident that they had serious on-field issues. They started with three straight defeats in the Cup, followed by a disappointing league campaign. After 14 matches, they sit rock bottom in the standings—8 points behind second-to-last Oster—with a record of 0 wins, 4 draws, and 10 losses. They’ve fought hard in most games and don’t go down without a battle, but they clearly need improvement to avoid early relegation.
Djurgarden, on the other hand, lost important ground in the first part of the season. They have a squad capable of challenging for the title, but injuries and the physical toll of their European campaign (they reached the Conference League semifinals) cost them valuable league points.
Since the June break, they’ve looked much stronger. Last round, they thrashed Degerfors 5–1 and were very unlucky to draw 1–1 against Norrkoping. If they deliver a similar performance here, they should have no trouble picking up another three points—there’s a clear quality gap between the two teams.
