EuroLeague: Zalgiris vs Olympiacos 25/02/2026

Riding a wave of confidence after winning the domestic cup and facing an opponent weakened by the absence of key players, Žalgiris have a realistic chance to break their negative streak at home and extend their winning run.
Betting on the match winner
After a two-week break due to domestic cup competitions, Europe’s premier club competition – the EuroLeague – returns to action.
Žalgiris enter this clash boosted by their recent domestic cup triumph over archrivals Rytas. In front of their home crowd, they will have a great opportunity to secure another EuroLeague win and further strengthen their playoff ambitions. On paper, the task is extremely demanding, as Olympiacos arrive in Kaunas, but the Greek champions are without Saša Vezenkov and Nikola Milutinov, two extremely important players. In addition, Olympiacos come into this game after a heavy defeat to Panathinaikos in the Greek Cup final, so the atmosphere within the team is far from ideal.
It is true that Olympiacos traditionally perform well at Žalgirio Arena, having won on their last four visits, but this match comes at an awkward time for them. Although they possess a deep roster, the absence of Vezenkov and Milutinov means losing reliable offensive and defensive options, raising questions about how they will respond to the hosts’ aggressive defense. Žalgiris had a few early-season slip-ups at home, but they have recently raised their level of play, and I expect them to record a fourth consecutive EuroLeague home victory.
