Betting on Winner

Mo Salah may well be returning to Liverpool still the national hero in Egypt he has always been. What a start he made to this competition by hitting a 91st-minute winner for his home country to see off Zimbabwe. The match itself looked like one that Egypt were going to struggle to win, especially when they were went 1 behind in the 20th minute, and were still in that situation with an hour to go. However, they found a way to dig out a victory and will now face South Africa in this match which will likely determine who will be the winners in Group B. Egypt have come into this tournament in strange form considering they qualified for both the World Cup and AFCON, looking virtually unstoppable. They made it to the World Cup with 8 wins and 2 draws from their 10 games, and they won 4 and drew 2 in their AFCON qualifying campaign. However, they came 4th in the Al Ain International Cup (losing to Uzbekistan and Cape Verde). They also got knocked out at the group stage of the FIFA Arab Cup. This included draws with Kuwait and the UAE and a surprise 3-0 loss to Jordan. To make matters worse AFCON hosts and local footballing rivals Morocco won it. Ok to be fair  Egypt were missing a few big names in that one. South Africa won their opener 2-1 against Angola, and should feel they are in a good position to progress from the group now. They edged out Nigeria and Benin in World Cup Qualifying in a group where they won 5, drew 3 and lost 2. However one of their losses was a forfeited match due to an ineligible player against Lestho, which they originally won comfortably 2-0. They won 4 and lost 2 in their 6 AFCON qualifying matches and are looking like a national side with some confidence going into this one. That said I think Egypt will beat them, and you can grab odds at around evens for this.
