There has been betting offers available ever since internet gambling began, but they come and go depending on the sporting events taking part at any given time. What is clear is that as the biggest sporting event of the year, the FIFA World Cup will haven an abundance of bonuses to choose from, so in this article we will explain what you can expect to see.

World Cup 2026 Bonus Types - All you need to know

Virtually every bookmaker will be shouting about the bonuses that they are offering to players who bet on the World Cup. It is what they use to gain new customers and to reactivate existing ones. Whilst we would not advise that you place a bet JUST to get a bonus, if you were planning to bet anyway, then it is a great idea to do it somewhere with a bonus to ensure the most “bang for your buck”.

We will look at the different types of bonus that you may find below so that you can understand which will be right for you.

⭐ Welcome Offers vs Existing User Bonuses

These are not actually “types” of bonus but it is still important that we explain here what they are and how they work. They are basically when (or who) can get which bonuses, and they can both be any type, but obviously to get a Welcome (or New user) bonus you must have never previously had an account at the site. To receive an existing user bonus then you must already have an account and this is not your first deposit or time betting.

⭐ No Deposit Bonuses

They are rare but it is possible to sometimes be given a reward by a betting site without needing to put it any money. These can be as a Welcome bonus to allow you to try the site and perhaps get lucky betting, but there will be quite strict wagering requirements making withdrawals unlikely. What is more common is Free bets or Free spins given to existing customers either as part of a daily “game” or prize competition, or perhaps randomly to advertise a new casino game or upcoming event.

⭐ Deposit Bonuses

What is more common is that sometimes (usually notified by Email) you will be offered the opportunity as an existing customer to redeposit funds into the bookmaker. You will then see your balance rise by your deposit amount plus a % extra which is bonus credit given to you (you will probably have to enter a bonus code when you make the deposit). You can not just withdraw this credit you need to wager it a certain number of times above a certain odds level, but once that is completed your balance is cash that you can withdraw.

⭐ Free bets (Bet & Get)

These are probably the most common type of bonus, certainly for Welcome offers and they involve placing a bet sometimes on a certain event, but always at above a set odds level, and then once it settles you are given a Free bet to (usually) the same amount. You are sometimes restricted to what game or market you can place this bet on but sometimes it is free choice, and in any scenario it costs you nothing if it loses but you are allowed to keep the winnings should the bet win.

⭐ Free bets (If)

These are incredibly common for existing users of a site who will see the promotion on the homepage.  It usually involves the major game or horse race of the day and is something along the lines of get losing stakes refunded as a free bet IF a certain horse wins, or IF a certain driver wins the F1 race, or IF a certain footballer scores. These Free bets are never guaranteed to be paid but they can happen IF certain criteria are met. The value of these offers will depend on how likely the contingent “if” is to happen.

⭐ Enhanced Odds / Price Boosts

You will often see certain events or specific bets that have been “boosted” in price, that is offering higher odds than previously. Sometimes these boosts can be great value and well above the odds of rival sites but not always, it is worth checking if the odds on offer even after the boost are actually good. Usually you will see boosts on specific bets but it is also possible to be given tokens after you deposit offering a certain % boost for a bet of your choice, these boosts are usually better value.

⭐ Acca Boosts / Refunds

Accumulator bets are when you make multiple single selections and combine them all into one bet, known as an accumulator. The number of bets you combine is up to you but bookmakers love it when you place these types of bet and try to encourage it. The two main bonuses to encourage these bets are “Acca Boosts” where your total winnings are increased by a % if it wins and the % gets larger and larger the more selections that you add to the Acca. The other is an Acca refund that usually refunds your stake or part of your stake as a Free bet if just one leg of your Acca lets you down.

⭐ 2 Up Promo

This is a relatively new promotion that applies purely to football matches, what it means is that if at any point in the game your team is winning by two clear goals, be it 2-0 or 3-1, etc, then your bet is settled as a winner straight away. It does not matter if the game were to finish in a 2-2 draw or even your team losing, if at some point your team was two goals up then your bet wins. This can be a very very useful promotion especially if the odds on your team winning are already competitive.

⭐ Bore Draw Refunds

This is usually restricted to bets on the correct score or the HT/FT market but if you place a bet on this and the bet loses but the game ends 0-0, then losing bets are refunded as a Free bet. This is at least some consolation for having watched such an uneventful game, hence the name of the offer.

⭐ Double Delight & Hat Trick Heaven

This offer applies to bets on the First Goalscorer. If your player is indeed the first one to score then the bet operates as normal but if he goes on to score again then you will recieve double your winnings. If they go on to score a third goal then you will get paid triple your winnings. This is adding a huge amount of value to any First Goalscorer bets that you might place and is worth looking out for.

World Cup Bonus Terms & Conditions

All bonuses will come with specific T&Cs and you need to meet these in order to get paid any winnings from your bets. The T&Cs will vary from site to site but there are a few core things to look out for and these are important in evaluating if the bonus is actually adding value and right for you.

  • Wagering Requirements
This is the number of times you must bet any bonus funds before you can withdraw. It is rare to have to do this with Free bet winnings but it is possible, it is always the case that you must complete the wagering (sometimes known as rollover) with deposit bonus credit.
  • Minimum Odds
This is the required odds that are needed for your bet to be valid and / or contribute to the wagering requirements. Sometimes it is actually not allowed to bet at under this figure and your bonus will be void, more often it simply wont count towards any wagering, but either way, you need to check what the amount is.
  • Sports & Markets
Sometimes bonus funds can be used on anything that you want but not always. Make sure that once a bonus is being used or qualified for that you are making bets that are eligible for this.
  • Time Limits
Very important, make sure that if you only have 48 hours to use a bonus that you do that, and check when the bet settles. Usually it is when a bet settles that determines if a Free bet or bonus credits are used in time or not.
  • Max Win
Some bonuses restirct the amount that can be won from them. This is usually not a problem but bear it in mind because there is no point for example placing a $10 Free bet on something at 10/1, which would win you $100, if the max cash out is just $50.
