Greece Superleague: Aris vs Atromitos 07/03/2026

Betting on Goals
A match in the final stretch of the regular season in the Greek league between teams with limited motivation beyond securing a place in the top eight of the standings.
Aris changed coach and we immediately saw a more attacking and freer approach in their play despite the 3-1 defeat against Panathinaikos. They have three consecutive both teams to score results, but more important is the team’s willingness to play with greater freedom under Grigoriou. Offensively they have talent and are trying not to depend solely on Moron, who has been mediocre this season.
Atromitos are having a strange season. They are one of the five best away teams (with five away wins), while at home they only achieved their second victory last week. They have scored consistently in the last five rounds and I see no reason for them to adopt a defensive approach at Vikellidis Stadium. Before the 1-0 win against Panetolikos, they had two consecutive matches with both teams to score and over 2.5 goals, and it seems that Kerkez’s team is entering the final matches with a clearly attacking mentality.
Three of the last four meetings between them in Thessaloniki ended with both teams scoring, as did the first-round match (1-2).
The odds for both teams to score are very high — bookmakers rely on general statistics but do not fully account for the current momentum and the change in playing style of both teams — so the risk is worth taking.
