Champions League: Barcelona vs Newcastle 18/03/2026

Barcelona are significantly stronger at home and against an unconvincing Newcastle side on the road they have excellent chances of winning, with the Asian handicap -1 representing a safe and valuable option.
Betting on Asian Handicap
Barcelona had serious problems in the first leg. They struggled against the opponent’s high pressing, had possession but mostly far from the opposition box, and failed to create many chances. They can be satisfied with the final 1-1, with the equalizer coming from a somewhat soft penalty deep into stoppage time.
At their home stadium, however, they look much stronger and it is not easy for any team to press them in the same way. Since October 1st and the defeat to Paris, they have won all of their next 17 home matches, with a total goal difference of 58-12 and at least three goals scored in each of the last nine games.
Newcastle are a Premier League side capable of matching the tempo and intensity. Still, despite their quality, they are not having a good season and strong away performances have been rare. If they fall behind, they will have to open up, which could leave them exposed.
Barcelona have the stronger squad and rotated several key players on Sunday. Bookmakers offer their win at decent odds, slightly above 1.50. The Asian handicap -1 looks like a fairly safe option, as it refunds the stake in case of a one-goal win, which is why we include it in our selection.
