ABA League: Bosna vs Partizan 08/03/2026

The return of Carlik Jones significantly boosts Partizan’s offensive potential, and thanks to their stronger frontcourt they could have a key advantage against a competitive but more limited Bosna side.

A matchup between two former European champions after a long 16 years will certainly attract a lot of public attention.
In their return season to the regional league, Bosna have presented themselves quite solidly and managed to secure a place in the “winners’ group” as the fourth-placed team in the initial phase, behind Budućnost, Crvena zvezda and Cedevita. The club can certainly be satisfied with the course of the season so far, and it is also worth noting that Bosna reached the quarterfinals of the FIBA Europe Cup, where they will face Hungarian side Szombathely.
On the other hand, Partizan managed to stabilize their form after a turbulent first part of the season and the departure of Željko Obradović. In their most recent game they were defeated by Fenerbahçe in Istanbul 81–78, but throughout the 40 minutes they were a fully competitive opponent and had a realistic chance to win. That match was also marked by the return of Carlik Jones, who immediately showed why he is considered the most important player on this team.
Jones brings a completely new dimension to Partizan’s game. The team was built around him from the beginning, and it is no secret that the drop in form started during the period of his injury. Besides being an outstanding scorer, he also creates very well for his teammates, which should particularly benefit centers such as Fernando and Jekiri, but also other players who will find it easier to get open shots. Bosna certainly has solid quality, but they will likely struggle to match the physical presence of Partizan’s frontcourt, where the home team realistically does not have enough quality for an equal battle.
