Very balanced pairing in the Europa League quarterfinals with both clubs aiming for distinction and capable of reaching the final.

Freiburg led Bayern 2-0 playing excellently but looked very weak and conceded a comeback in stoppage time raising concerns before Celta. They have ten matches without a clean sheet. Offensively they have talent and at home, always with great atmosphere in a packed stadium, they are aggressive, scoring five goals to eliminate Genk in the previous round.

Celta appear in better condition and, unlike their opponent, maintain hopes for a high league finish. They are unbeaten in eight away matches overall, with four wins in the last five where they scored at least 3 goals, most recently the 2-3 comeback in Valencia. They have won away at Lyon and PAOK to reach this stage and are not a team that will sit back. I believe they will find many chances to score against the vulnerable German defense.
