Georgia vs Spain – Predictions and Odds 15/11/2025

Georgia vs Spain – Prediction: Can Georgia Cause a Shock in Group E?
Georgia host current European Champions Spain in their FIFA World Cup Qualifier in Group E. Spain are in fantastic form and are looking to cement their route into next year’s World Cup. Georgia are barely hanging onto their World Cup qualification hopes however. They will need to win this one and their last against Bulgaria and hope other results go their way to take the converted 2nd spot. Read on to find our Georgia vs Spain prediction.
Day: Saturday, 15 November
 Time: 21:00
Stadium: Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena, Tbilisi
Tournament: World Cup Qualifier Group E – Matchday 5
Spain head into this one in great form. They have lost only one of their last twelve fixtures, with that defeat coming on penalties against Portugal in the Nations League Final. Not only are they winning matches, they are winning them with ease, scoring plenty of goals in the process. In fact, they scored fifteen across their first four games of qualification, without conceding, scoring seven in two games against Bulgaria, a 6-0 thrashing of Turkey and a comfortable 2-0 home win over Georgia when these sides first met.
Although defence has been a strong point, it is worth pointing out that when Spain do concede, they tend to do so more than once. Of the last six games where the opposition has scored, their opponents have scored more than one in five of them.
While this looks like a comfortable Spain win on paper, Georgia have surprised many in recent months with their excellent performances. 2024 was not a particularly good year for Georgia, succumbing to a range of defeats, but 2025 has proved much more fruitful. At the time of writing, Georgia had won four of their last eight games, including a fantastic 3-0 win over Group E rivals Bulgaria. What has hurt them was the heavy defeat of 1-4 away to Turkey which has left playoff hopes hanging by a thread.
Georgia – All or Nothing
After up-and-down performances last year, Georgia have enjoyed some decent results in 2025. Winning four of the last eight matches is pretty good for such a small nation. However they lost out to both Spain and Turkey in their last two games which has effectively ended hopes of making a first ever World Cup Finals.
The campaign started ok, with a close loss to Turkey 3-2 on home soil in their first Qualification fixture. However, this was followed up with a 3-0 home win against Bulgaria which raised hopes they might steal 2nd place.
Georgia will be eliminated from qualifying with anything other than an unlikely win against Spain, and they still need Turkey to slip up in their final two games as well.
Spain – Looking to Continue their Unbeaten Form
Spain has been in incredible form over the last two years and beyond. They were heavy favourites to win Group E and book their place at next year’s FIFA World Cup easily. They have proved everyone right, and confirming their Qualification should not be a problem with only Turkey still being in the running for top spot They now need 4 points from their last 2 fixtures starting with this trip to Tbilisi.
Their away form has been a key reason why Spain have dominated in recent times. They were unbeaten in their last five away matches (with the exception of the aforementioned Nations League Final penalty defeat), winning both of their away fixtures in Group E easily. Georgia might present a more difficult challenge than Turkey and Bulgaria, but there are not many who would predict anything other than a Spain victory in this one.
For our Georgia vs Spain prediction, we have analysed the current form of both teams, along with the importance of the fixture for both sides.
Georgia vs Spain – Possible Lineups
Georgia are likely to go with a similar side to that they have picked throughout their World Cup Qualifying campaign. There are no new injury concerns and, at the time of writing, there are no suspensions to worry about either. Star man Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be a key player in this one and will need to be at his best if his side are going to take something from this game.
Spain also does not have any fresh injury or suspension concerns. Last year’s Ballon d’Or winner Rodri will be pushing to start this one as he continues to build up his match fitness. He should join a midfield three alongside Pedri and Mikel Merino. Lamine Yamal will start, of course, with a fight between Ferran Torres and Alvaro Morata to lead the line.
Georgia possible XI:
GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili
DEF: Otar Kakabadze, Luka Lochoshvili, Saba Goglichidze, Irakli Azarov
MID: Nika Gagnidze, Anzor Mekvbishvili, Giorgi Kockorashvili
ATT: Zuriko Davitashvili, Georges Mikautadze, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Spain possible XI:
GK: Unai Simon
DEF: Marc Cucurella, Dean Huijsen, Robin Le Normand, Pedro Porro
MID: Pedri, Rodri, Mikel Merino
ATT: Nico Williams, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal.

Prediction Georgia vs Spain
I think this is a must-win game for Georgia, with Spain pretty much having World Cup qualification sewn up. Georgia will cause the Spanish defence issues, but it will be very difficult to contain a formidable Spanish forward line.
While a Spain win is incredibly likely, there is much more value to be found in the Both Teams To Score market. I think with the talent on display up top for both sides, we are likely to see both teams find the back of the net in this one.
The odds on Both Teams to Score will likely be between 2.20 to 2.40 and anything more than this is a good value bet.
