Premier League: Liverpool vs Wolves Prediction 25/12/2025

Betting on Handicap
Liverpool are having a pretty easy Christmas without Mo Salah. An away match against Spurs on Saturday, fast becoming the easiest away trip in Europe and now a match against Wolves at home. They made harder work of beating Tottenham (2-1 against 9 men?!) however this should represent a late Christmas Turkey shoot, despite the loss of Isak up front.
Liverpool are coming into this unbeaten in the last 5, with 3 wins and 2 draws. Their early-season wobble (losing 6 from 8 in late September till the end of November may rule out their hopes of claiming another title this season. However, they still have Champions League spots to fight for. They haven’t become a bad team overnight. They looked comfortable against Brighton the week before they beat Spurs as well.
Wolves meanwhile, had their lowest crowd of the season on Saturday, in a must-win home match against Brentford. I genuinely thought that might be the match where they showed a bit of bite and turned things around. The fact they lost so weakly against a team that couldn’t even win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium shows how poor they are this season.
They have players missing from the squad for the AFCON tournament and the mood around the club couldn’t be glummer. They have lost 10 (ten!) matches on the trot and will be making this trip to Anfield with zero confidence.
I’m struggling to find much value for you in this game on Liverpool to win, unless you want to stack your Christmas bonus on that outcome! I think they will pull Wolves apart and that you can afford to give Wolves a 1.75 head start and improve your odds on the same outcome.
